Welcome and Introduction
Since 1943, ECi has been a proud participant in the segment of aviation
dealing with piston powered aircraft. With roots dating back to WWII
when ECi was known as Pennington Channelcromium Co., the Army Air Force
and the Navy relied on the corrosion and wear properties of
chromium plated cylinder barrels produced by PCC. Although chromium
plating was considered state of the art 60 years ago, ECi has over the intervening
years moved on to new plating technology as well as other innovative and
high quality repair processes for all major components of a certificated
aircraft piston engine.
While maintaining a strong focus on repairs, a recent change in business
strategy has also brought ECi to the forefront of the PMA business. Emphasizing
quality products at a price that the market is willing to pay, ECi has
set out to support the independent rebuilder with products and services
that meet the highest standards for safety and reliability.
ECi has a corporate commitment to being a world class designer and manufacturer
of aircraft engine parts as is evidenced by the certification of its Quality
Management System to the ISO 9001:2000 international standard and AS9100
aerospace standard. This certification is held by few manufacturers in
general aviation because it requires an effort that not all businesses
are willing to put forth for the benefit of their customers. We recognize
that our future rests in the hands of the thousands of people that maintain
and rebuild piston engines; a future that looks very bright to all of
the employees at ECi.
